Explained: why Ravichandran Ashwin became invented during the inaugural auction of ILT20?
The first auction ILT20 2025 in Dubai delivered several surprises, but no bigger than the absence of a buyer for the Indian veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Why has Ashwin become invented during the first auction is ILT20?

Experts also underlined the Ashwin’s abrupt reserve price as a deterrence. Although its reputation for one of the largest match professions in India remains indisputable, doubts have focused on its recent T20 form and its adaptability to water conditions. The teams already targeting proven specialists from the T20 such as André Russell, Wanundu Rasaanga and Sam Curran may have considered that Ashwin’s skills did not justify the cost, in particular given its management of the workload and its planning conflicts.
