The national ESPORTS 2025 alias NESC 2025 championship launches the hunt for India for the 17th WEC GLORY, finalizes BRICS SQUAD.
The ESPORTS DE L’Indres (ESFI) Federation launched the National ESPORTS 2025 (NESC 2025) championship to select India’s official contingent for the 17th ESports World Championship (WEC), organized by the International Esports Federation (IESF). ESFI also finalized the India team for the BRICS ESPORTS Championship 2025, where Gurashish “Soul” Singh and Shubham Khorwal will represent the nation at Tekken 8.

The IESF flagship tournament is the most prestigious ESports international competition on the calendar, bringing together elite talents around the world. The national qualifications, online from May 22, will show off the best Indian athletes in competition in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Dota 2, with inscriptions open until May 19. The matches will be broadcast live on the official Youtube channel of ESFI. In addition, the winner of the NESC last year in Efootball will be granted a direct slit to the 17th WEC, after the removal of the game from the previous edition range.

Speaking on occasion, the director of ESFI, Lokesh Suji, said: “The recent historic gold medals of India at Waves Esports Championship have proven that our athletes can deliver to the world scene. With NESC25, we aim to pass this momentum forward and to deepen our international impact. Our vision is clear – to make India a superpower ESPORTS through structured paths, high -performance platforms and a coherent global representation. ”
In addition to WEC’s preparations, ESFI has finalized the Indian list of the next BRICS 2025 Esports championship, which will take place in VK Play Arena in Moscow from May 28 to June 3. After a fierce double elimination qualifier features 60 players from across the country, Gurahish “Soul” Singh was victory, followed closely by Shubam Khorwal. The two athletes will represent India in Tekken 8 at the BRICS event – where the nation has marked history with money in the previous edition. As part of the official sports calendar of Russia, the tournament will see the participation of China, South Africa, Water, Turkey, etc.
Speaking about his triumph and the chance to represent India at BRICS, Soul said: “Although I have obtained high locations in important tournaments and I won many smaller ones, I had not obtained first place in a major event so far – NESC 2025 Marks my first big victory of the tournament. This is only the beginning, because I have to represent my country at the Brics e-Sports championship, and I will continue to try everything. ”
Shubham, which finished fourth at the BRICS ESPORTS Championship 2024, underlined its objectives for this edition: “While I prepare for the next Esports Brics championship, each session is to push my limits. Representing India on an international scene is a responsibility that I take seriously, and this time, I aim for the podium. ”
