Neil Patrick Harris reveals his daughter Harper asked for a $2,000 Chanel bag

Neil Patrick Harris revealed that her teenage daughter, Harper, has a big prize on her Christmas list.
“She sends us a link to a Chanel handbag that is a vintage Chanel handbag,” Harris, 52, said in an interview with Parade published Monday December 22.[She said] “Boy, that’s a pretty good price, $2,000. Normally it’s more than that.’
Harris, who shares twins Harper and Gideon, both 15, with her husband. David Burtkaadded that Harper was the “hardest” to buy for.
“She has really good taste in clothes and shoes and everything is very expensive,” he mused. “That’s not the problem, the problem is that every two or three days she wants something new.”
When Harper told her father the latest item she wanted for Christmas, he asked her if she was sure because she kept changing her mind.
“I’m like, ‘What? A $2,000 handbag, you want? But wait, it’s just today because yesterday you wanted these crazy shoes and before that you wanted a dress. So I’m not going to buy you all these things,'” he recalled telling the teen.
Harris didn’t reveal whether he ended up giving her the purse or not because he still didn’t know what to do for her.
“And by the end of December, I don’t know where this spinning wheel is going to end up,” he told the outlet.
Although Harper is the hardest person to buy for in their family, Harris admitted that he tries to make gifting easier for his loved ones. He has a shared document where he places things he would like throughout the year.
“I have a shared note and while I’m online I look at the things I want [I add them]. I’m easy because I like puzzles, games, magical things, cocktail glasses and stirrers and I keep adding to the shared list with the intention of not wanting everything on the list,” he explained. “I make so many things that I forget what I put in there. So when I open presents, I’m delighted.
Last month, Harper showed off her love for fashion and musicals as she attended the New York premiere of Villain: for good alongside Burtka, 50. Harper looked dazzling in a sequined green dress paying homage to Cynthia Erivo’s character Elphaba. The teen completed the look with a black fur coat and heels.
Harris, for his part, was unable to attend the premiere because he was starring in Art on Broadway, which concluded on Sunday, December 21. Harris has previously opened up about how his two teenage children supported him on the show.
“Everyone saw the show”, how I Met Your Mother former student said People in September. “Harper came and saw it on Sunday, Gideon saw it himself three days before and David saw it twice, which makes me really happy because I love that they can come to opening night and not say, ‘I hope it’s good,’ but kind of represent and be proud of Dad and what he does.”
