Neelam Kothari slams airline for ‘unacceptable’ handling of in-flight medical emergencies: Bollywood News

Neelam Kothari has publicly called out an airline after what she described as a deeply distressing experience on her recent flight from Toronto to Mumbai. On social media, the actor shared that the trip turned into an ordeal marked by a prolonged delay and a serious medical emergency on board, with little to no support from the airline’s cabin crew.

In his tweet, Neelam revealed that the flight was delayed by over nine hours, further adding to the discomfort of passengers. However, things took a turn for the worse when she became seriously ill in flight. According to her account, she passed out after eating a meal and had to be helped back to her seat by another passenger. Despite the incident, Neelam said there was no medical monitoring or even basic check-in from the crew for the rest of the flight.
Expressing her disappointment, she wrote that she tried to contact the airline’s customer service after landing, but received no response. Terming the situation unacceptable, Neelam urged the airline to address the issue urgently, highlighting what she saw as a complete lack of responsibility and care during a medical emergency.

The incident also sparked a nasty exchange online. One social media user dismissed her complaint with a comment that read: “Sounds like this is a problem for you. But let me try to make something out of this.” Neelam didn’t let the remark slide and responded curtly, saying the reaction would have been very different if the same situation had involved the user or someone close to him.
Neelam Kothari started her acting career with Javaani in 1984 and became a familiar face in popular films such as Love 86, Khudgarz, HatyaAnd We are friends with each other. She moved away from cinema in the early 2000s and turned to jewelry design. After almost two decades, she returned to the spotlight with Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives and has since also appeared in shows like Masaba Masaba and Made in Heaven 2.
