“ My mother cleaned the houses on the day ”: Bengaluru’s coder went from 5 km to 46 LPA in the same company

From a monthly salary of 5,000 ₹ to technological employment of 46 lakh per year, an anonymous Reddit article by a developer based in Bengaluru, 35, has seized the Internet, telling a deeply personal story of poverty, perseverance and payment.
The man, who now works as an engineering director, shared his trip to Reddit, where the post quickly increased with votes and emotional comments. Born into a family of agricultural workers, he recalled a difficult childhood spent in a village, separated from his parents who moved to Bengaluru to work.
“My mother cleaned the day houses and sewn the clothes at night,” he wrote. “His hands were always full, but her heart was even more full – with love, grain and the desire to change our future.”
Raised by his grandmother and educated in public schools, he then enrolled in a Polytechnique college – largely for the hostel and free meals. This decision led him to a B.Tech in computer science, funded with the help of his older brother, who had won a job at Power Grid Corporation of India.
His first job paid 5,000 ₹ per month. But he stayed with him – learning, increasing and never changing businesses. “Some say that 46 LPA is common,” he wrote. “But for me, it’s a big problem. It has changed everything for my family. ”
Today, he went to the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada and helped his family buy land, build a house and buy a car-Milestones who once felt out of reach.
Reddit users praised honesty and gratitude in the post. “Your story seems to me a great inspiration,” wrote one of them. Another added: “The hard work and the concentration pay rich dividends!” Learn to appreciate the trip. “
What started as a silent article on a niche sheddit has now become a viral reminder that success does not always concern flashy outings or work – sometimes it is a question of staying the course, remembering where you started and moving your whole family with you.
