“My 600 pounds. Tragedies of life | Us every week

Pauline Potier, Lisa Fleming, Gina Krasley, Robert Buchel and older My 600 lbs. Life stars have died tragically over the years.
My 600 lbs. Life premiered on TLC in 2012. While season 1 featured patients filmed over a seven-year period, the series tweaked its format and documented the cast for a year starting in season 2. By season 8, some stars had only been filmed for six months.
Tragedy first struck the reality show in 2013 when season 1 star Henry Foots deceased. Five years later, the Lexington County, South Carolina, coroner’s office confirmed Us every week that James “LB” Bonner committed suicide.
“On the show, viewers saw LB struggle with obesity following a tragic accident that cost him his right leg. Although he once weighed 650 pounds, LB’s hard work and dedication helped him reach 200 pounds,” the network said in a statement in August 2018 following his untimely passing. “His spirit and determination, as evidenced in his story, quickly made LB a fan favorite, and family and friends took to LB’s Facebook page to commemorate his life. TLC was deeply saddened to learn of LB’s passing and is honored to have shared his honest and courageous story on My 600-lb Life.”
The same month, Fleming, another Season 6 star, died at the age of 50, with her daughter, Danielle, telling TMZ that she “was sick and her body was tired and her body had just given up.”
In 2025, Potter, participant in season 3, and those of season 11 Latonia Pottain both are dead. They were aged 62 and 40 respectively.
