Moscow car bomb kills Russian Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov


A car bomb killed a top Russian general in southern Moscow early Monday, as officials reported “slow progress” in negotiations with the United States over how to end the war in Ukraine. Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, 56, head of the training department of the Russian General Staff, was killed when the bomb, placed under his parked car, exploded in a residential area in southern Moscow.
