MONDO DUPLANTIS broke its own world of pole jump to the Hungarian Grand Prix

Mondo Duplantis in Sweden broke its own world of pole jump with an authorization of 6.29 meters during the meeting of the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest Tuesday
This is the 13th time that he has established a new world brand.
The Olympic double champion maintained his tradition of improving his previous record in one centimeter, with his second attempted commemorative of ISTVAN Gyulai revising the brand he set in Stockholm in June.
Duplantis had looked at a little of his best form, missing his first attempt at 6.11 m and, after the Karalis Emmanouil of Greece retired after having failed twice at the same height, the Swedish had raised the bar to make his attempt at the usual world record.
The world champion twice, 25 times, failed during his first try and when he slightly shaken the bar on his second effort, Duplantis looked up almost incredulous to see that he had reached a new height in the discipline he dominates.
“I love Hungary a lot. The track is very good, I love the crowd, I would like to come back, thank you,” said Duplantis.
Duplantis, who won his second world title in the same stadium in 2023, ran directly to the crowd to celebrate with his partner desire Inglander and his family.
On Monday, Duplantis missed most of the press conference before the Budapest meeting, apologizing when he appeared late, saying that he had a lot of work to do on his time management.
“I think I will have to compensate tomorrow with a big leap,” said Duplantis.
He duly remained faithful to his word to the delight of Budapest’s crowd and has now climbed 15 centimeters higher than Sergey Bubka, which Duplantis described as “mythological”.
The Duplantis of American origin broke the world record for the first time in 2020 in Poland, with its 6.17 m jumping one centimeter the previous record set by the French Renaud Lavillenie six years earlier.
Lavillenie had broken the best jump from Bubka by 6.14 m, which had remained for almost 20 years, but Duplantis brought sport to another level and Saturday is in competition at the Silesia Diamond League, where he also broke the world record last year.
