Mohammed Siraj almost throws the ball in Ryan Rickelton’s face after catching him

When Ryan Rickelton lofted a ball over the centre-back, Mohammed Siraj grabbed it out of nowhere as he timed the jump precisely and made a good overhead catch. This drew first blood for India in the second innings, and Jadeja made a breakthrough.
India and South Africa are battling it out for the top spots in the WTC points table, and the visiting team South Africa has dominated the Indians at home. They won the series opener at Eden Gardens and are eyeing a complete series sweep.
India, on the other hand, could try to salvage their honor as another series defeat at home would be a major blow to the prestige of the two-time WTC finalist. South Africa closes in on a 400-point lead.

Ryan Rickelton pulls away after a superb effort from Mohammed Siraj
In the 19th over of the match, Ravindra Jadeja was called for the third over of his spell. India are surely looking for wickets to win or draw, and bringing in their most experienced spinner, Captain Pant, made the right choice.
Jadeja delivered in the third over of the over, as Ryan Rickelton advanced down the track, opening his wings aggressively and looking to get the ball through the side. Not a good turner, Jadeja held on and the batter ended up mis-spinning the shot over the cover crease.
Mohammed Siraj times his jump to perfection and makes a superb aerial catch. Usually, it’s not easy to make such catches, but Siraj has just the cat-like reflexes needed in this position.

Ravindra Jadeja dismisses both Protea openers
After a huge lead of 288 runs in the first innings, which marked the second highest lead in the subcontinent by any team without giving a follow-up. South African openers Ryan Rickelton and Aiden Markram once again kicked off with a half-century partnership.
Rickelton was dismissed off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja and then later, Aiden Markram also fell to the bowling of Jadeja. The veteran spinner bowled him over with a fine delivery, as the ball offered a tight catch and turn.
Aiden Markram has been lured into defence, as he is beaten by this delivery, and the batter’s stump is castled. South Africa’s defensive measures led to the fall of these wickets.
Kuldeep Yadav did not deliver the ball in the second innings in Guwahati
Alongside Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar was the only spinner from the Indian side to be handed the ball by captain Pant. Although Shubman Gill doesn’t give him enough opportunities, Pant uses Sundar more often.
After playing a long spell in the first innings as well, Washington Sundar remained wicketless in the first innings and then bounced back with the wicket of Temba Bavuma in the second innings.
At Tea, Washington Sundar had bowled 15 overs while Ravindra Jadeja had bowled 12 overs. However, what shocked everyone was that Kuldeep Yadav did not receive the ball after a single bowled on the fourth day.
