“You must have recently seen that during the current session of the Parliament, we made a law linked to online games. Teachers should be aware of it,” said Modi. He stressed that teachers have an important role to play in making students more aware.
The act completely prohibits online gambling, prevents advertisements from promoting them and tells banks and financial institutions not to treat payments for them. Modi added that the game is often hidden behind the game label and ends up causing serious damage to families.
“The game and the game-unfortunately, although people call it the game, it often turns into a game,” he said. He talked about cases where families separated, the debts continued to accumulate and even the suicides occurred due to the dependence of these games.
He stressed that even if the government has introduced this law, awareness is just as important. He urged teachers to intervene where parents can have trouble, saying: “Parents can complain, but they cannot always repair the situation because it creates an atmosphere of tension. Teachers, however, can play a very big role. ”
Modi makes the distinction between the game and the game
Clarifying the distinction between the game and the game, Modi said: “The game is not bad. The game is bad. The game without money is good. As you know, even at the Olympic Games now, certain forms of play have been recognized as sports.” He clearly indicated that even if the government has provoked this law, the propagation of awareness is just as important.
The Prime Minister also talked about India’s potential in the world game industry. “Our government endeavors to guarantee that our young people increase their global presence in the game sector,” he said, adding that the country’s startups are already innovating in this area.
Modi said he was sure that if schools and colleges help students see the difference, the game could become an excellent career opportunity instead of a problem.
