Miley Cyrus doesn’t experience any stress at award shows without competition?

Miley Cyrus at the awards ceremony: “We are a community, not competitors”

Miley Cyrus says she doesn’t get stressed at an awards show where there’s no competition, since she was honored at the Palm Springs Film Awards.

Citing an example from an awards show she attended, the pop icon says that during awards seasons, creators are often pitted against each other, which she believes is unbecoming of an artist.

“Very often during awards season we are presented as competitors, but we are supposed to be a community, not adversaries. There is no best, it is only our personal best work,” she believes.

According to Miley, there is a difference between sports and artistic creation when it comes to ranking. “The numbers may make it seem like a sport, but the performance is much deeper than a scoreboard, as each artist bares their soul in a completely unique way and each contribution leaves their own mark on history.”

The 33-year-old also suggests that in creating art, what matters most is authenticity, adding: “Whether you’re in or out of this industry, we all have a personality, even those who are rooted in authenticity, because self-creation is an art form, and all of us act authentically.” »

That’s what Miley says is her philosophy. “That’s something I deeply admire about the award-winning actors and actresses, as well as the Toucans drag queens: they’re kind of the same.”

Meanwhile, the musician is being celebrated for her song Dream As One in Avatar: Fire and Ash at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

“You did an incredible job, if you’re available for the Oscars, that’s what we’re hoping for,” The Climb hitmaker said, before joking that the evening was “truly the most elegant party in Palm Springs I’ve ever been to. There are fewer drag queens than I’d like, but I’ll stop at the Toucans on the way back to LA to get my fix.”

It is pertinent to mention that Miley received the Outstanding Artistic Achievement award at the Palm Springs Film Awards.
