Milan stunned after comeback against Pisa in 2-2 draw

AC Milan were held to a 2-2 draw by bottom side Pisa at the San Siro as Massimiliano Allegri’s side lost more valuable points in the Serie A title race.
The hosts started strongly and took a deserved lead after just seven minutes, when Rafael Leao found space on the edge of the area and guided a precise low finish into the far corner.
Milan controlled much of the first half, with Luka Modric and Youssouf Fofana dictating the tempo and Alexis Saelemaekers posing a constant threat on the right. Pisa rarely threatened, their best chance seeing Nicholas Bonfanti burst into flames before Ebenezer Akinsanmiro fired wide from distance.
Despite Milan’s dominance, they failed to increase their lead before the break, leaving the match well-balanced at 1-0 heading into the second half.
Pisa responded after the restart and equalized on the hour mark. Following a VAR check for handball against Koni De Winter, Juan Cuadrado calmly converted from the penalty spot to make it 1-1.
The equalizer destabilized Milan, who briefly lost their rhythm and allowed Pisa to regain confidence. Allegri’s men finally regrouped, Saelemaekers forcing a fine save from Adrian Semper and Leao rattling the crossbar as the pressure mounted.
Against the run of play, Pisa surprised the hosts five minutes from time when Nzola found space to finish to put the visitors 2-1 ahead.
Deep into stoppage time, substitute Zachary Athekame saved Milan with a close-range strike from a Modrić cross, but the late goal could not mask a disappointing evening for the Rossoneri, who wasted missed chances and defensive errors.
Sevilla beaten by Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad ended their three-game winless run in La Liga with a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Sevilla at the Reale Arena.
La Real took the lead after 19 minutes when Fábio Cardoso manipulated the box and captain Mikel Oyarzabal confidently converted from the penalty spot.
Sevilla hit back on the half-hour mark when Nemanja Gudelj’s deflected strike from Gabriel Suazo’s free-kick flew past Álex Remiro, but Sociedad quickly restored their advantage when Oyarzabal struck again, turning sharply to fire into the bottom corner for his second of the evening.
After the break, Sociedad showed impressive discipline and control, limiting Sevilla to a few chances and managing the game effectively to protect their lead.
The visitors managed just five attempts in the second half, none on target, as Sociedad climbed to 14th in the table, while Sevilla missed the chance to move up into the European places.
