Among the thousands of Microsoft Employees who lost their jobs in the discounts announced this week were 830 members of the staff of Washington’s original state.
Nearly a dozen game design workers in the state were part of the layoffs, as well as three audio designers, two mechanical engineers, an optical engineer and an laboratory technician, according to a document that Microsoft has submitted to the employment managers of Washington.
There were also five individual contributors and a Microsoft research division manager in the cuts, as well as 10 lawyers and six material engineers, according to the document.
Microsoft announced the plans on Wednesday to eliminate 9,000 jobs, as part of an effort to eliminate redundancy and encourage employees to focus on more significant work by adopting new technologies, a person familiar with the problem at CNBC said. The person asked not to be appointed by discussing private issues.
Dozens of Microsoft Video sellers and developers have since presented themselves on social networks to announce their departure. In April, Microsoft said that Xbox’s content and services have increased by 8%, which is dragging overall growth by 13%.
In sales, the company separated from 16 members of customer success management staff based in Washington, 28 in sales strategy activity and five others in sales compensation. A Washington -based government business worker was also dismissed.
Microsoft has eliminated 17 works in the Cloud solution architecture in the condition, according to the document. The fastest income growth of the company comes from Azure and other cloud services that customers buy according to use.
CEO Satya Nadella did not publicly comment on dismissals, and Microsoft did not immediately provide a comment on the Washington cuts. At a conference call with analysts in April, Microsoft’s financial director Amy Hood said that the company had “the cost efficiency” during the March quarter.
