Microsoft drops the DLC discounts which are delivered with Xbox Game Pass

After Microsoft decided to raise the price of his subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass up to $ 30 per month, he has another unwanted surprise for members. In a declaration provided at several points of sale as Initiate gameA Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that he had deleted the DLC discounts which are delivered with a Game Pass subscription, by replacing them by offering points for his reward program.

While the first reports discovered the change with the Call of Duty franchise, Microsoft’s declaration later said that this major change is not “specific to a single game and reflects all the games and purchases of DLC”. To replace the discount, the ultimate subscribers will obtain 10% of their purchase in reward points, while the premium members will obtain five percent, when buying the qualification games of the gaming library.

Earlier this month, Microsoft detailed in a post that his goal with Game Pass was to “provide unrivaled value” as well as a wide range of games included. In the same article, Microsoft announced that it would add 45 additional games, as well as the introduction of the price increase of $ 10. With this last decision, Game Pass subscribers even lose the immediate delivery of 10% of their purchases and are forced to accept the Game Pass Store credit instead. This news dam has members questioning their Xbox Game Pass subscription, but there are still ways to secure the previous rate with prepaid codes.
