Michelle Heaton reveals Katie Price made her realize it was time to stop drinking

Michelle Heaton has revealed an emotional insight into Katie Price, the one who made her realize it was time to embrace sobriety.

THE Freedom The star, 45, has now been four years sober after reaching death’s breaking point and being hospitalized in 2021 during her battle with alcohol addiction.

Michelle remembers when she drank two bottles of wine and a bottle of vodka almost every day, but it was her former glamor model friend, 47, who made her realize it was time she tackled her problem.

Talk to Daily mail, Michelle explained that although she was aware of her struggle, she didn’t feel able to confide in anyone.

She explained: “There were many times when I wanted to stop drinking but I couldn’t and then I didn’t want to tell anyone I couldn’t because I had already told them I was stopping.

“It was frustrating to think, ‘Why can’t I stop, I can’t tell anyone because no one will have the same problem.’

“So I was out with a few friends and one of them was Katie and they weren’t drinking.”

Michelle continued: “It got me thinking, I came here to have a good time.

“But I wasn’t having a good time, that’s the problem, drinking didn’t bring me joy.” And then I just thought, “My God, if they can do it, if she can do it,” if they could be sober, what have they done.?

“And then, as soon as I accepted, I needed help, the help was always there.”

As a reminder, Katie Price remained sober for a year after a stay at The Priory rehabilitation center, where she received treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
