Leeds has not yet taken a point far from his home this season, having fallen to a defeat at the end of 1-0 in Fulham on Saturday. The goal of Gabriel Gudmundsson in the 94th minute was the difference between the two teams, in what was a frustrating afternoon for the team of Daniel Farke.
Part of the blame for the result was posed at the feet of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who signed in summer as a free agent. The former man of Everton, who has not yet marked this season, was largely ineffective in western London, before being replaced by Lukas Nmecha in 69 minutes.

Speaking on football on Saturday (via Leeds United News), Michael Dawson was questioned by the host Simon Thomas on Calvert-Lewin’s performance at Craven Cottage, and he is sure that he was not impressed.
“Uh, Bang in medium. Middle Bang. Yeah, very poor. He did not have a lot of service. He didn’t get a lot of service, don’t get me wrong. He had an opportunity with the header. He hit the target but you have to score. When you are in the Leeds team, you are not going to create charges and chances.
“But, other than that, did not do a lot. I mean, the game did not do a lot, to be honest.”
This is not the best start to life in Elland Road for Calvert-Lewin, although he is still very early in his Leeds career. He has time to start playing, but every week that he did not do it, the pressure will increase – in particular with Nmecha pushing him for the position of the starting striker in the Farke programming.
