McKinnell noted that his warning should not be rejected because he provided bad things when the late Rivera took Annabelle on tour. He had warned the paranormal investigator and fans of the negative impacts of the doll on the roads of weeks before the death of Rivera.
According to McKinnell, Annabelle justified caution because the doll has “a negative energy attached to her, and it can be deadly”. As Rife is the new owner of the doll and other occult objects in the collections of the Warrens, he stressed that the actor should not underestimate the evil attached to these articles.
