Marvel Star at Lésion reveals that Disney does not consider its best series of superheroes as a cannon

Recently, I made my annual trip to Dragon Con, the 24/7 “Gras” event in Atlanta, Georgia. Shield agents Star Chloé Bennett attended, and during a panel, she confirmed that the Marvel powers which do not really consider her cannon of the ABC courageous program. She also agreed with the fans she should have been Secret invasion And said something with which I fully agree: the disappointing series Disney + would have been better if it had been part of it.
When Shield agents Created in 2013, he was fully rolling on the success of the successful film 2012 Avengers. At the time, there was no doubt that the spectacle was supposed to be part of the MCU barrel thanks to the high -level cames of stars like Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders. But after the spectacle apparently ignored the Blip (the name of the event where half of the population of the planet was moved by Thanos suddenly blinned), it seemed that this successful spectacle was in its own universe rather than the familiar MCU of feature films.
To Dragon Con, Shield agents Star Chloe Bennett was quite frank when asked if she could return to the MCU in a future film such as Avengers: Doomsday. “We are not really considered canon,” she said, “even if we are.” Here, she seems to refer to the paradoxical fact that the program has always tried to connect to the films (including, completely memorable, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), but the films have never made an effort to connect to the show. It started speculation that the show was not really canon, and the ignorance of the Le Blip series sent this speculation to Overdrive.
The lyrics of Chloé Bennett looked like the last nail in the coffin for fans hoping Shield agents was still part of the official barrel. However, I found myself more captivated by what she said about the Disney + series Secret invasion. More specifically, Bennett agreed with the fans who said that she should have been part of the series and continued saying that Secret invasion “Would probably have been better” if she was part of it.
This may look like bitter grapes at first, but keep in mind Secret invasionThe drama came from the characters who are frantically worried who could have been quietly replaced by Skrulls while no one looked. Holding agents of Shield agents would have made plenty came up in the crowd in Secret invasionAnd the fans would have naturally been interested in learning which of their former favorite characters would have secretly been replaced by an extraterrestrial. Bennett’s comic counterpart played a major role in the Secret invasion Comic, so it would only have been appropriate for the actor to appear in this show.
The decline is obviously 20/20, and the Secret invasion Disney + show had problems that took place far Beyond his casting decisions. But putting Chloé Bennett in the series would have made a more faithful comic adaptation while conferring the status of cannon and, by extension, the rest of the Shield agents Characters. Until Marvel is willing to embrace these old beloved characters and shows rather than trying to push new PIs on our face, however, Secret invasion Can remain an unpleasant desire for even more people from a studio in the midst of a creative crisis.
