Adam Peaty’s estranged mother is ‘outraged’ and ‘hurt’ that Gordon Ramsay criticized their family feud in his wedding speech.
Gordon praised his daughter Holly’s beauty at the wedding and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding “look at Tana and that’s what you have to expect”, referring to his wife.
In what appeared to be a dig at Adam’s parents, he told his daughter, “It’s a shame you don’t have the same thing.”
Adam’s parents Caroline and Mark were not invited to the lavish wedding, which took place at Bath Abbey.
Adam would be separated from his family and stranded. He also changed his last name to Ramsay Peaty on social media.
However, a source close to his family revealed that Caronline was furious over the comments.
“Caroline can’t believe Gordon brought up family issues in his speech. It’s outrageous and very hurtful,” the mole told the Daily Mail.
“When he says Tana will be a good mother to both of them, Caroline seems like a bad mother. It was a cruel dig at her. She has always done her best for all her children. She is a very good mother,” the mole added.
The source remarked: “Who says it wasn’t planned in advance?”
“We may not have much as a family, but we have values,” they added.
