Manchester United Pick Lammens on Martinez in search of a goalkeeper solution

Manchester United should sign the goalkeeper Senne Lammens having concluded an international agreement under the age of 21 in Belgium instead of progressing with a decision for Emiliano Martinez.
The situation of goalkeeper of United was again put under a microscope following a lamentable performance of Andre Onana while the Red Devils underwent a humiliating exit from the EFL Cup in the hands of Grimsby Town.
They explored agreements for Lammens and the Argentinian international Martinez, who was excluded from the Aston Villa team for their 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
But United decided to move forward with Lammens rather than Martinez, reaching a complete agreement with Royal Antwerp on an agreement worthy of 21 million euros (18.2 million pounds sterling) plus additional modules.
The 23 -year -old would have signed a five -year contract with the Red Devils, and he could make his debut on an extremely large scene.
Manchester Derby is waiting for Lammens
United won four points in their first three first League games, requiring a controversial 97th minute penalty to beat Burnley 3-2 on Saturday.
Their first match after the international break is the little question of the Manchester derby at the Etihad stadium.
A start against Manchester City can be considered a risk. However, taking into account the difficulties of Onana and Altay Bayindir, Ruben Amorim can immediately start to start Lammens as the best share price.
Lammens has not yet appeared for the Belgian national team, but was called in the team for the first time in March before being selected in June.
He appreciated an excellent 2024-25 campaign for Antwerp. No goalkeeper in the Belgian Pro League last season has no longer stopped (127) or had a higher percentage of stop (81.4) than Lammens. He did not keep a white leaf during his four appearances for Antwerp this season, but saved a penalty in their first match against the Union Saint-Gillie. He saved four of the six penalties he faced in the League last season.
Lammens will become the fifth signature of United from the transfer window, after Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbuemo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon.
