Man Utd also ready to pay a liberation clause of 44 million pounds sterling for “King of Kings” after Cunha

Manchester United is now ready to trigger the release clause of 44 million pounds sterling required to sign another striker, who could be online to follow Matheus Cunha in Old Trafford in summer, according to a report.
Cunha set to complete the move to Man Utd
Cunha will undoubtedly have hoped that Man United was victorious during the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur last week, but the defeat does not seem to have dissuaded the Brazilian to move to Old Trafford this summer.
The expert transfer, Fabrizio Romano, has now taken to X to confirm that the Wolverhampton Wanderers star should sign for the Red Devils, with an agreement concluded between all the parties, but it will not be cheap.
At 62.5 million pounds sterling, the agreement is expensive, and United missing football in the Champions League could hinder their ability to spend the money in the next transfer window, but a report revealed that they were also ready to spend big on an attacker.
Indeed, according to a report from Italy (via Sport Witness), Man United is now “ loan ” to trigger the liberation clause of 52 million euros (44 million pounds sterling) in the contract of Fiorentina de Moise Kean, which remains active until July.
The Red Devils would have moved to cheaper targets than Viktor Gyoking CP, perhaps in the light to lose the Europa League final against Spurs, and they are now willing to sign Kean, fresh at the back of one of the best seasons of the attacker’s career.
Kean achieving its potential since its move to Italy
The previous passage of the Italian in the Premier League did not go exactly as planned, scoring only four goals in 39 games in all competitions for Everton, but there are signs that he could now deserve a second chance to prove himself in England.
The 25-year-old finished the 2024-25 campaign as the second highest marker in Serie A behind Mateo Repui in Atalanta, scoring 19 goals in 32 outings, and if he could record figures similar to Man United, an expense of 44 million pounds sterling would be justified.

The Red Devils are ready to make changes …
It is clear that Ruben Amorim will have to attract a new striker this summer, Rasmus Hojlund marking only four goals in the Premier League throughout the 2024-25 campaign, while Joshua Zirkzee was even worse, finding the bottom of the net only three times.
Having been praised as the “king of kings” by expert Mina Rzouki, Kean could be an upgrade on Hojlund and Zirkzee, but his previous difficulties in the Premier League would mean that it would be a real bet for Man United to sign the attacker according to an impressive season.
