Lyft and Baidu plan to bring their robotaxis to the United Kingdom and Germany next year

Lyft and Baidu shed light on their plan for A. After the first deployments – which are intended for Asia and the Middle East later this year – companies have their conceptions set on Europe. They are a robotaxis in the United Kingdom and Germany in 2026, as long as they obtain the approval of regulators. The objective is to then extend the European fleet to thousands of vehicles across the continent in the following years.
Baidu uses its sixth generation Apollo Go vehicles for this deployment. Once Robotaxis has started operations on a given market, consumers can reserve journeys via the Lyft application.
Lyft says that he will take advantage of his recent acquisition of the Taxi Freenow company to accelerate the deployment of autonomous vehicles, given the established proof of this platform in the United Kingdom and Germany. The partnership between Lyft and Baidu, which the couple announced last month, follows Baidu to start testing Apollo Go in Europe later this year.
