4 Things Triple H Got Right on WWE RAW Tonight

The latest episode of RAW emanated from Hershey, Pennsylvania with several great matches and segments. However, the air was filled with melancholy as fans were still dealing with the emotional aftermath of John Cena’s retirement. With everything going on, the company made sure to put on a big show that could get fans excited about the product.
Triple H has been on fans’ radar lately due to the degrading quality of shows and lack of substantial content. Amidst the wave of criticism and backlash, The Game managed to give fans an exciting show this week. From revealing the identity of the masked man to putting together a strong duo, the creative team made some good decisions.
Thanks for the submission!
Let’s take a look at four things Triple H got right on WWE RAW:
#4. The Kabuki Warriors make a statement
Asuka and Kairi Sane are the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Despite this, they struggled to stand out in the crowded women’s division and were seemingly lost in the fray. However, this week on RAW, The Kabuki Warriors made a bold statement by unleashing a brutal beatdown on Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.
They eliminated the babyface duo, prompting Ripley and SKY to retreat. It was the need of the hour as Asuka and Kairi Sane desperately needed to make a bold statement. Showcasing the Kabuki Warriors’ dominance in the series was a great move and was the perfect way for them to regain their lost momentum ahead of their next title defense.
#3. Gunther opens Monday Night RAW
Gunther became the most hated person in the WWE Universe after he retired John Cena during Saturday Night’s Main Event. Just when fans were just recovering from the emotional turmoil caused by Cena’s departure, The Ring General’s theme song echoed through the arena as the opening act of Monday Night RAW. This added salt to fans’ wounds.
The hostile crowd erupted into a chorus of boos, but Gunther delivered a menacing promo to further irritate the fans. Triple H made the right choice by letting the Austrian open the show, as it was the perfect way to take advantage of the heat and the current situation. WWE took advantage of this opportunity to make the 38-year-old a monster heel in the company.
#2. Women’s world title match ends in disqualification
This week on RAW, Raquel Rodriguez faced Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship. In the final moments of this fight, Nikki Bella appeared out of nowhere and attacked both superstars. As a result, the high-stakes title match ended in disqualification. Staging such a result was indeed the right decision by Triple H.
This was a match where neither Vaquer nor Rodriguez could have afforded a loss and WWE needed a way to escape this situation. Plus, Nikki Bella had a score to settle with both superstars so her involvement made perfect sense. The match ending in a disqualification could now lead to a three-way feud for the Women’s World Championship on RAW.
#1. Revealing the mystery of the masked attacker on RAW
The mystery loses its mystique if it remains esoteric for long. Since Survivor Series, WWE has been creating suspense around the identity of the masked man who attacked CM Punk. The speculation and theories have spread way too much, but Triple H put an end to it this week. WWE has finally revealed the identity of the masked attacker.
Revealing the mystery man was the right decision, as dragging him out further could have eroded fan interest in this storyline. A little mystery can spark curiosity and interest, but if prolonged, it can lead to disengagement. Triple H apparently understands this and hits the iron when he gets hit. Now that the mystery has been revealed, it has added new excitement among fans.
