Liverpool reject the Bayern Munich approach to the winger Luis Diaz

Liverpool firmly rejected Bayern Munich’s attempt to open discussions on a potential transfer to Luis Diaz, sending a clear and coherent message that the Colombian winger is in no way to sell this summer.

Bayern sports director Max Eberl made an approach to Liverpool on behalf of the German champions, hoping to explore an agreement for Diaz, but according to Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports News, the Champions of the Premier League have rejected Bayern’s approach, ending communication immediately after the approach.

Luis Diaz attracts interest this summer

It was the second time this summer that Liverpool has taken this firm position on the future of Diaz. Earlier in the window, Barcelona also made an informal approach for the 28 -year -old, to receive the same message from Liverpool as the player is not for sale.

Despite the speculation and the interest of the best European clubs and on the Saudi side of the Saudi Pro League al-Nassr, who would have considered Diaz as their higher winger target according to Ben Jacobs, Liverpool’s position remains unchanged.

Liverpool’s leadership, under the direction of CEO Michael Edwards and sports director Richard Hughes, favors the stability of the team and performance on their summer strategy.

Diaz is considered a key member of the Liverpool configuration and a crucial part of the club’s project under the director Arne Slot.

His ability to deliver in major matches, to contribute defensively to the press and to add creativity in the last third makes him a player whom Liverpool does not want to lose when they are preparing to defend the title of Premier League and to compete for the Champions League next season.

Bayern, on the other hand, will now be forced to explore other options in their search for a winger, with their attempt to test Liverpool’s resolution firmly.
