Nathan Collins is a player in request
Pete O’Rourke said on football invite: “They [Brentford] I don’t want to lose Nathan Collins. As you said, there was a little interest in Tottenham’s summer. Liverpool was mentioned as they were looking at a central back.
“If he continues to impress for Brentford and as he has already shown it at such a young age, he also has these leadership qualities, being captain of the club, I am sure that there will be clubs that will monitor the situation and perhaps in the summer, there could be an additional interest in him.”
It is not a secret that they need a quality central defender, and Collins would be an addition of quality for them. Ibrahima Konate will be a free agent at the end of the season, and he has not signed an extension with Liverpool. Joe Gomez was also linked to an outing. Liverpool must seek to attract a quality central defender as soon as possible.
Collins could imagine a movement

Collins has proven himself with Brentford, and he has the quality to play for a biggest club. The opportunity to move to Tottenham or Liverpool could be exciting for him. He could find his former manager in Tottenham. On the other hand, Liverpool could regularly provide him with the platform to fight for major trophies. It remains to be seen if the two clubs decide to follow their interest with an official proposal in the coming months.
Brentford will not want to lose a key player like him in January, and any move may have to wait for the summer transfer window. He is likely to cost a bonus, and it will be interesting to see if the two clubs are ready to break for him.
