Daniel Farke has been under a lot of pressure at Leeds in recent weeks, but for now he remains in charge at Elland Road. Things seemed to be on the wall after a run of six defeats in seven matches, but things have improved in recent days.

A fantastic win against Chelsea in midweek was followed by a 3-3 draw against Liverpool at the weekend, meaning Leeds are now outside the relegation zone. Thanks to this, the club’s leaders had a say on Farke.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has confirmed that Farke will remain in charge for the time being, although that would have been the case even if Leeds had been beaten by Liverpool at Elland Road.

“Daniel Farke is going to be secure in his job at the moment, that’s no surprise. Whatever Liverpool’s result, I think they would have been happy for him to stay in his job. They need to be realistic about their chances this season, I don’t think he saved his job just because of these results because they would always be difficult games.

“It would have been unrealistic to expect results, so taking four points from the games against Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool is a fantastic result for Leeds. But the board have always been keen to stay with the manager, they made that decision in the summer when they decided to keep him.

“This change in tactics has made them a lot more pragmatic and structured, which is something I’ve been missing this season. They’re not as disjointed as I’ve seen them in the past, and that’s because of these adjustments, so he deserves a lot of praise for what he’s done recently.”

Should Leeds continue to keep faith in Daniel Farke?

It’s been a difficult season for Leeds, especially compared to fellow promoted side Sunderland. However, there are signs that relegation can be avoided, although Farke will need to maintain this form if he is the man to be trusted with his fate in the Premier League.
