Each free signature celtic has done under Brendan Rodgers classified

Celtic has surprised to enter the market for free agents in the 2025 summer transfer window for an attacker after unloading Adam Idah in Swansea City on the day of the deadline.
After a frantic search for a replacement, Brendan Rodgers was able to seal a meeting with the striker of the Nigeria Kelechi Iheanacho, who joined the club one day after the end of the market period after his release from Seville.
With the move, which has done a lot among the supporters, we took a look at all the signatures of Rodgers free agent at Celtic Park, each ranking the best at the worst in his two spells in the canoe.

Saved
2017-2020
Beginning the procedures, Kundai Benyu joined Celtic in 2017 on a free transfer from the city of Ipswich, making four first team appearances before brief loan spells at Oldham Athletic and Helsingborg.
Finally, he left the Bhoys to sign for Wealstone United in 2020 before stays in Iceland in Vestri and IBV. The International Zimbabwe is now for holding equipment based in Harare United.

Aunt Youssouf
2018-2019
Become a late addition in the Rodgers midfielder in 2018 after Celtic did not sign John McGinn of Hibernian, Mulumbu has never really succeeded and has only succeeded 155 minutes of competitive football through three appearances.
Previously, he had benefited from an excellent campaign of Scottish Prime Minister 2017/18 in Kilmarnock and quickly returned to Rugby Park before a break clause in his hoop contract saw him leaving in the summer of 2019. Not a transfer that paid for one or the other.
9
Ross Doohan
2015-2022, 2025-Present
Ross Doohan joined Aberdeen Celtic on a free transfer in the summer of 2025 and is found at the lower end of the scale due to not having made a competitive appearance for the club during the two spells.
Nevertheless, the Scottish international is a precious presence in the walls of Lennofxtown and has helped relieve pressure on the registration powers of the European hoop team, making him intelligent capture by the holders of Scottish Premiers.
8
Callum Osmand
2025 Present
Technically, Callum Osmand signed for Celtic in a cross -border remuneration agreement, but it was included under membership after the end of his Fulham contract in the summer of 2025. Why not make things a little more fun?
The striker born in a jersey represents Wales on the international scene and appeared in the friendly matches of the Bhoys pre-season against Cork City and Estrela de Amadora.
In the end, his place on the list could fluctuate according to that he earns a few minutes in the coming months. It is highly evaluated after 55 goal contributions in 73 outings at different levels of youth among the chalets, although a loan seems to be a reasonable step to help its development.
7
Emilio Izaguirre
2018-2019
At the time, many Celtic fans were shocked when Emilio Izaguirre returned to Parkhead in 2018 after leaving the club a year before joining Al-Fayha. However, his cult status among supporters has generated a level of excitement.
In the end, the Honduan left rear recorded a solitary aid in 19 appearances during its second spell in Glasgow, playing a role in the Bhoys winning a domestic hatch.
Frequent injuries and the position of Kieran Tierney as the first choice limited its inclusion scope. Despite being offered an extension of one year, Izaguirre, 33, left Celtic with 13 medals of winners in total for Motagua, where he is now a sports director.
6
Turre
2016-2017
To tell the truth, you could say that the game of things on the question of whether the second fate of Izaguirre or the passage from Kolo Toure to Glasgow should be higher on the list, but the Ivorian shaded it because of a key factor that will be explained.
The winner of the Premier League Toure linked Rodgers shortly after leaving Liverpool and recorded 17 appearances under Irish before calling for time in his distinguished career due to injury problems.
Curiously, he was then part of Celtic’s Backroom team as a technical assistant, remaining in LennoxTown, then leaving to assume a role as a first team coach at Leicester City. Supporters loved her sadly famous song!
5
Kelechi Iheanacho
2025 Present
The man everyone is talking about. Many Celtic supporters can expect Kelechi Iheanacho to be classified elsewhere on this list. However, it would be unfair to draw premature conclusions before having had a sustained race in the team.
Currently, the failed pursuit of the Bhoys of Kasper Dolberg is of public notoriety. Their efforts to win the international of Denmark have proved unsuccessful, and he is now back in Ajax, somewhere he thinks he is a second house.
An all-powerful race followed before Celtic signed Iheanacho in an agreement under the window, leaving many angry fans during a transfer strategy that saw David Datro Fofana and Patrick Bamford contacted on movements in Parkhead without any breakthrough.
Statistically, the Nigerian international is in Glasgow after a target in 15 appearances during a loan in Middlesbrough around 2024/25. Three blows in 11 outings through his stay in Seville is hardly a convincing count either, everything well considered.
Offering a saving grace, Rodgers previously worked with Iheanacho and helped him produce some of the best football in his career in Leicester City, including a 19 goals in 2020/21, a level he can, hope, rediscover under his directives.
4
Scott Bain
2018-2025
Initially, arriving on loan from Dundee before a free transfer move to Celtic in the summer of 2018, Scott Bain cemented like another sympathetic figure among the supporters and kept an impressive 40 sheets specific through 78 appearances for hoops.
Cappé three times by Scotland, the longtime goalkeeper ended his spell in Glasgow with no less than 14 medals on his name. He moved to Falkirk during the transfer window and benefited life from new arrivals of Scottish Premiership.
3
Kasper Schmeichel
2024 present
Kasper Schmeichel is another player who has a significant experience by working alongside Rodgers, and it is just to say that it was a major success in Celtic since his arrival on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
To date, Denmark’s international has won the Scottish Premierhip and the first Cup sports, and it does not seem to be finished, despite his turn at 39 years in November.
Leader of the front, Schmeichel is a brilliant example of professionalism and his desire to continue presenting his talents at Celtic is something to admire.
2
Kieran Tierney
2015-2019, 2025-Present
Some of you may wonder: why is Kieran Tierney number one on this list? There is a reason for this, but the final decision is purely resulted from the distinction from the fact that it only recently reached a free transfer.
Born in Douglas and a faithful for Scotland under Steve Clarke, the 28 -year -old is an icon in Celtic and drawn in importance in a first spell which saw him play a driving role by demanding eight trophies from the club, making 170 appearances in total and by delivering eight goals alongside 37 assists.
From this moment, Tierney obtained a move of 25 million pounds sterling from his childhood club in Arsenal, claiming the FA Cup in the Gunners and winning the recognition of his exhibitions. Precifying a different football climate, he also spent time on loan to Real Sociedad.
Now it is firmly back to Celtic and has implemented effortlessly under Rodgers after having signed a five -year deal in the summer of 2025.
