According to Deadline, the idea for “All’s Fair” came after Disney Entertainment co-chairman Dana Walden introduced Murphy to Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. They met up for dinner and Murphy presented a reality pitch.

After finishing his pitch, Kris then suggested he write a scripted role for Kim. Murphy admits he didn’t think the mother of four would agree to this, and he was indeed surprised when she did. Her inquisition asked Kim, to which she replied, “Because it’s iconic and I like iconic s***.”

The mom and Murphy then took their idea of ​​Kim playing a divorce lawyer on the show on Hulu, and the rest is history. He also revealed that other cast members signed on without reading the script after mentioning that it was a legal drama starring Kim.
