Instead of using a photo with their children, the couple chose to use a photo with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. This particular photo was taken after the cheerleaders performed “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” at the end of the Live with Kelly and Mark Halloween episode in October.

“We took a photo on set with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, and Mark is in the middle and we’re all in our special outfits,” Ripa said. “And Mark just has a look on his face that’s like…he’s so excited and happy. He’s the happiest I’ve ever seen him on a Christmas card.”

Consuelos agreed, telling the publication: “This year is going to be awesome.”

“The Radio City Rockettes are amazing,” Ripa explained. “Every year I’m like, ‘We have to take a picture with the Rockettes,’ but we’re doing the show really late, and I have to get my Christmas card to the printer early. So maybe we’ll get a picture this year for next year’s Christmas card.”

Consuelos and Ripa said their children would be reconsidered for Christmas cards “when they have children themselves.”

“But until there are grandchildren, it’s over,” Ripa said. “We’re just going to exclude children.”

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, are preparing to begin their next big chapter. “Hey, the twins. They’re 17! Can you believe that?” asked Mark Consuelos during Lopez’s visit to Live With Kelly and Mark on Monday, October 6. “I mean, it’s crazy. We’re visiting colleges today, between doing […]

In July, Ripa said Amanda Hirsch on the podcast “Not Skinny but Not Fat” that she finds “comfort” in the fact that her children are graduating from college without student loans to pay off.

“I think my kids feel very lucky in general,” she said. “It’s like a comfort to know that my kids graduated knowing they wouldn’t have to dig themselves out of a mountain of debt. They are so grateful.”

Ripa also said that she and Consuelos tried to give their children a “normal” life growing up.

“They always, from a very young age, had a part-time job, always. And… in their circle of friends, they were like the only ones who had a job,” she continued.

THE Hope and Faith The star added that her children were always “fully aware” of their parents’ level of fame and what it meant to them.

“They’ll meet people on the street who will come up to them and say, ‘I’ve seen you grow up. It’s such a pleasure to see you grown up,'” she said. “When my kids were little, they had the opportunity to come in and do little segments…and people would get a glimpse into their lives. And then they grew up, and they leave, and they move, and they leave the country in some cases, and people don’t regularly get to see them. And so I feel like, every once in a while, it’s important to let people in because I feel like they’ve had a group experience. My kids had a group childhood. It was like they I had a lot of aunts, a lot of uncles, a lot of grandparents.
