Actor Keanu Reeves has played in serious action blockbusters over the years, including the show of “Matrix” films and the Gun-Fu Gun-Fu show of “John Wick”. However, as strange as it may seem, he ended up undergoing one of his worst wounds on the set while turning something much less full of action: comedy Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen “Good Fortune”. It is true, Keanu managed to release from four films “Matrix” and four films “John Wick” (plus a spin-off!) Without serious battle scars, but he ended up breaking the kneady which pulls “good fortune”, which is legitimately legitimately bad Fortune, all joking.
In “Good Fortune”, Arj (Ansari, who also made his debut with the film) is a concert worker in difficulty who makes odd jobs for the very rich Jeff (Rogen), only to end up changing places with his rich sometimes because of the interventions of “the Guardian Budget Angel” Gabriel (Reeves). It’s a bit like the comedy of Eddie Murphy “Trading places” meets the classic of Christmas “It’s a Wonderful Life” and, according to / the criticism of the film, Reeves absolutely eats it like the biggest Heubo in the sky of an angel.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reeves, Rogen and Ansari shed light on what, precisely, arrived at Keanu’s knee, and it is honestly nightmarish. Who knew that comedy could be dangerous for your health?
Keanu Reeves broke his ball in two turning good fortune
Reeves shared that his knee “was going” while turning the comedy, adding that he was quite efficient. As he said:
“I broke my ball joint vertically, like a potato butt. While the pain came, I said to myself:” Oh f ***. It’s not good. It’s pretty bad. “There was a lot of blood.”
It takes a lot of strength to lower in half, so it’s really impressive (and horrible) that Reeves managed to do it. Ansari joked by saying that it was almost like a little in the hilarious Apple TV + “The Studio” series by Rogen, who satiate the chaos behind the scenes of the Hollywood machine. (It looks very much like a darker and worse version of the “Zoë Kravitz, we accidentally dosed the mushrooms just before the big presentation” Bit in “The Studio”, in fact …) Rogen then entered the character while his stressed studio head Matt Remmick from the “studio” and claimed to “take control” of the moment.
“Can we support him? Can we suspend him to the sons? We puppet in the scene!” Rogen Riffé. Fortunately, however, no one had to make the Reeves puppet so that “good fortune” was finished in real life, while the actor conscientiously ended the scenes he could manage (post-Hôpitale visit, of course) and returned for the recovery after the release of his cast. Really, an actor as tall as Keanu could have easily moved completely from the film (without punches), but instead, he both pushed the pain and stuck, which only cement the reputation of Reeves as one of the coolest guys in the history of cinema.
Reeves was the guardian angel of Good Fortune in several ways
It seems that Reeves was a guardian angel for “good fortune” as much as he plays in the film, because his continuous dedication to play in the role despite his injury probably maintained the film afloat. “Good Fortune” was in fact the safeguard plan of Ansari for his first feature film after his passionate project, “Being Mortal”, closed production due to allegations of sexual misconduct against star Bill Murray. Rogen had already been on board “being fatal”, playing Murray’s son, while Keke Palmer, who plays the main romantic interest in “Good Fortune”, was interpreted as the wife of the character of Rogen. As such, “Good Fortune” was the chance of Ansari to collaborate with these talented actors and to lead his first feature film despite the drama of “being deadly”, but Keanu’s knee could have killed everything.
Fortunately, Reeves is a real and “good fortune” should be released in theaters on October 17, 2025.
