Kayce Dutton Yellowstone Spinoff Starring Luke Grimes: Airtime, What You Need to Know

The next stop in the Yellow stone Universe is a spin-off starring Luke Grimes” character, Kayce Dutton.

Yellow stonewhich premiered in 2018, introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana. After experiencing success on Paramount, the creator Taylor Sheridan made the Yellow stone world with the prequels 1883 and 1923.

CBS ordered Y: marshalsthe upcoming show follows Kayce as he leaves the Yellowstone ranch to join the US Marshals, following the conclusion of Yellowstone in December 2024.

“The Cowboys don’t say goodbye, they say see you later,” Grimes wrote via Instagram when the exciting news was announced.

When will ‘Y: Marshals’ premiere on CBS?

The highly anticipated series is set to premiere in spring 2026 on CBS as a midseason replacement. It will air Sunday evening at 9 p.m. ET.

Spencer Hudnut, who previously worked on The SEAL Teamis writer, executive producer and showrunner of the series. Taylor Sheridan is also an executive producer on the project, with CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach previously saying in a statement: “As far as Taylor’s involvement, we’re still early in the process. He’s a very busy guy, but we’ll take what we can get.”

What is the spin-off about?

According to the official synopsis, Y: marshals follows Kayce leaving “the ranching life behind to join an elite unit” of the US Marshals. All while “combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty, and the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war against violence.” »

Who makes up the cast?

Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Brett Cullen and Logan Marshall Green join Grimes on the new series.

Kebbel, Santos and Means will play Belle, Andrea and Miles respectively. They are all members of the US Marshals while Cullen plays Harry Gifford, the head of the US Marshals in Montana.
