A source told Mid-Day that the decision to move the date was rooted in business pragmatism: “December is a high-pressure corridor.” The insider noted that the year-end schedule was dominated by heavyweight productions, including Dhurandhar and a major romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, making a content-driven romance like stay with me to ensure a solid presence at the box office.
“July offers more leg room for a film like stay with me. It needs time, rehearsal and controlled screen density,” the source explained, suggesting that the relatively quieter summer corridor would allow the film to grow through word of mouth and sustained audience engagement.
The genre and casting – combining Sai Pallavi’s sincere screen presence with Junaid Khan’s rising star profile – make stay with me a sought-after summer option for the urban crowd. The film, a Hindi remake of the 2016 Thai romance A dayis directed by Sunil Pandey and marks a milestone for Sai Pallavi, who is also creating buzz for her role in the mythological epic 2026.
