“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Host Jimmy Kimmel insisted that he had never intended to shed light on the assassination of Charlie Kirk in comments that led to the suspension of his program.

Tuesday evening, the first show Kimmel has organized since Disney announced his return on Monday after almost a week of the end.

Kimmel came out at a standing ovation that continued in the songs of “Jimmy! Jimmy! Jimmy!” and the applause in progress.

“If you simply join us, we prepare your regularly programmed episode of ‘Celebrity Family Feud’, we bring you this special report,” opened Kimmel. “I’m happy to be here with you tonight.”

He then thanked his colleagues guests of the end of evening talk show, notably Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart and David Letterman, as well as right-wing critics like Clay Travis and Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, for having shown him a certain support during his suspension.

Kimmel then addressed, but did not apologize, the comments which originally suspended him.

“I have heard a lot about what I have to say and do tonight, and the truth is that I don’t think what I have to say will make a big difference,” said Kimmel. “If you love me, you love me. If you don’t do it, you don’t do it. I didn’t start to change the spirit of anyone. But I want to clarify something, because it is important for me as a human, and it is – you understand that it was never my intention to shed light on the murder of a young man.”

Kimmel started to tear himself off by saying that he had published a message on Instagram sending love to Kirk’s family on the day of his death.

“It was not my intention to blame a specific group for actions either,” he continued. “He was a deeply disturbed individual. It was really the opposite of the point I was trying to do, but I understand that, for some, it seemed badly informed or not very clear or perhaps both, and for those who think they have pointed a finger, I understand why you are upset. If the situation was reversed, there is a good luck that I would have felt the same way.”

Kimmel added: “I have a lot of friends and family members on the other side of which I like and that I remain close, even if we do not agree on politics at all. I do not think that the murderer who shot Charlie Kirk represents anyone. It was a sick person who believed that violence was a solution, and it is never.”

Kimmel also gave his mixed reflections on the suspension of Disney after 23 years on the air.

“Every night, they defended my right to make fun of our leaders and defend the subjects which, I think, are important by allowing myself to use their platform, and I am very grateful for that. That said, I was not happy when they withdrew me on Wednesday,” said Kimmel.

He added: “I did not agree with this decision and I told them, and we had a lot of conversations. I shared my point of view, they shared theirs. We talked it. And in the end, even if they did not have to do it, they really did not have to do it, it is a giant business, we had a short attention, and I am a little part of the Disney Corporation, they welcomed me.”

Kimmel closed her monologue by telling in tears Erica Kirk’s speech in her husband’s funeral where she has been forgiven for her assassin.

“There was a moment during the weekend, a very beautiful moment. I do not know if you saw that. Sunday, Erika Kirk forgiven the man who shot her husband. She forgave her. This is an example that we must follow. If you believe that the teachings of Jesus, as I do. Tragedy to postpone, I hope it could be that,” said Kimmel.

Kimmel’s show was suspended by Disney last Wednesday after declaring that right commentators were “desperately” trying to characterize the alleged assassin of Kirk as someone who was not “Maga”.

“We struck new stockings during the weekend with the gang Maga trying desperately to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as something other than one of them and do everything they can to score political points,” said Kimmel on September 15.

The Sinclair Broadcasting Group and Nexstar Media Group broadcasting companies announced after the episode broadcast that they pre -empted the program in dozens of ABC affiliates because of the “invented and insensitive comments from Kimmel.

“I cannot believe that ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel to Jimmy Kimmel. The White House was informed by ABC that his program had been canceled! Something happened then and now because his audience left, and his` Talent ” was never there. Why would they want someone to have a 99% positive democrat, “the network wrote.

He continued: “He is still another branch of the DNC and, to my knowledge, it would be a major contribution of illegal campaign. I think we are going to test ABC on this subject. Let us see how we do it. Last time I have pursued them, they have given me $ 16 million.
