On Wednesday, December 24, BTS’ Jimin took to his personal Instagram account, @jm, to post three threads of his recent photos. The idol also deleted or archived all of his previous posts that were kept since the BTS members opened their personal accounts in December 2021. When these new posts landed on the internet, fans were quite shocked.
Previously, during an OT7 livestream with the seven on December 21, Jimin responded to a fan comment who inquired about the lack of messages from the idol. Although he is one of the very active members on his Instagram, the idol said that he forgot his account password, which prevented him from posting in recent days. However, with the recent update, fans learned that he has successfully revived his Instagram account.
Additionally, fans also loved the idol’s new posts, which consisted of several close-ups of him and his accessories, such as a disposable camera, headphones, lip balm, and more. People pointed out that the images represented the Gen Z aesthetic, and many praised the niche he carried in his posts. BTS’ Jimin, otherwise known as Park Ji-min, was released from his mandatory military enlistment in June 2025, following his service under the Buddy System with his bandmate, Jungkook. After her comeback, the idol quickly took to her Instagram to update fans on her recent activities, and also held live streams on Weverse to reconnect with ARMYs.
He made his first public appearance during Paris Fashion Week 2025 as an ambassador for Dior, for the luxury brand’s spring-summer 2026 show. At the event, he wore a black-on-black formal outfit, where he paired his black coat over his bare top with leather pants. The event also revealed the idol’s blonde hair, which was her first look after returning from the army.
The idol also joined BTS’ Jin for his encore concert as part of his solo world tour, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. The idol welcomed Jin on stage during his performance of his solo track, Running Wild, and also joined the stage to sing a few BTS songs with Taehyung and Jin, such as S.o What, Spring, My Universe, And Idol.
Most recently, the second season of the idol travel reality show starring BTS’ Jungkook, Are you sure?!also created. The show, filmed after the two members’ military discharge, featured the bandmates’ journey to two destinations, Vietnam and Switzerland. New episodes of the series are expected to be released every Wednesday on Disney+.
