Jeremy Allen White opened up about feeling pressure to play Bruce Springsteen in upcoming biopic Deliver me from nowhere.
The Emmy-winning actor admitted that stepping into the shoes of such an iconic musician was nervous, especially since Springsteen himself was there during the first week of filming.
Talk to Austin Butler to Interview MagazineWhite said: “That first week was particularly nervous for me. Bruce was there and I spoke to him at the end of the week.
I thought, “If I could just have some space to try to find my place.” »
He shared that Springsteen was very understanding and gave him the time he needed. “He said to me: ‘I completely understand. It’s not a problem,'” he recalls.
“He was gone for two days, then he came back and said, ‘What was this space like?'”
