Anaconda viewers were surprised when Jennifer Lopez appeared in a scene with the star of the new film Black Jack.
“Are you Doug McAllister? You made the unauthorized version of Anaconda even if you didn’t have the rights? Lopez, 56, said in footage from the film on social media, playing an exaggerated version of herself. “I saw your little film and I loved it. That’s why I’m here.
She continued: “I’m here because we’re doing another Anacondaand I want you to lead it. Are you up for it? »

Lopez performed in 1997 Anaconda opposite Jon Voight, Ice Cube And Owen Wilson. The horror film follows a documentary crew’s adventure in the Amazon after they are forced to help a snake catcher (played by Voight, now 86) hunt a giant anaconda.
In Black’s recently published version of Anaconda, two friends (played by Black, 56, and Paul Rudd) attempts to remake J. Lo’s film. Their cinematic journey, however, takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a real snake.
“I had mild snake trauma during my teenage years,” Black said. The United States today earlier this month to overcome his fears and star in the new film. “A snake got loose in my house and we found it hours later, slithering out of my mattress. It snuck through a hole in the mattress and has been haunting my dreams ever since.”
At one point in the film, Black runs through the jungle with a 30-pound wild boar on his shoulders.

There’s a lot of different angles and movements and energy,” Black recalled to the outlet. “Running through grass on uneven terrain is very difficult, but the hardest part isn’t any of that. Pretending to be terrified for long periods of time is so exhausting. It’s really the hardest part, weirdly.”
He added: “This is going to sound stupid, and I wish I didn’t say this, but people don’t understand how hard acting can be. If you play [with] extreme emotion, it’s really exhausting.
The OG version of Lopez’s film was also filmed in the jungle.
“You notice there’s always a rat scene in movies? I hate it,” Lopez said in a 1997 interview for Anacondanoting that other movie scenes were much easier than if she were working with mice. “It was my first time [in the Amazon] and I can’t say that I will return to the cinema. It was difficult to film, being on the water all day. »
Lopez further explained why his version of Anaconda was “a difficult gig”.
“You’re waterlogged, you’re in your shower and you feel like you’re on the boat,” she joked. “You wonder, ‘Is the ground moving or am I?’ …It wasn’t easy work, but it was fun and we had a good time. We had a great cast.
Lopez even praised Voight for managing to “be entertaining and funny while still being menacing.”
“I really like the character,” she added.
Anaconda is currently in theaters.
