Jeanine Pirro, American lawyer for the Columbia district, criticized Democratic leaders for opposing the repression of the crime of the Trump administration in Washington, DC and for having resisted the possibility of expanding similar efforts to other cities in the country.
Pirro distinguished the governor of Illinois JB Pritzker after Chicago had one of his most violent weekends of the year.
“This guy Pritzker, he should be ashamed of himself,” said Pirro on “America Reports”, referring to the amazing number of fire and death. “It is a rejection of your oath to protect the people.”

During the Labor Day weekend, at least 58 people were killed in Chicago, including eight deadly. President Donald Trump launched the idea of deploying the National Guard to help brake violence in the windy city, as his administration has already done in the national capital.
But the Democratic officials of Illinois firmly oppose federal participation. Pritzker and the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, both rejected Trump’s proposal. In an interview with CBS, the governor suggested that the motivations of the administration could go beyond the control of crime, qualifying the potential deployment of national guard troops in the city “an invasion”.
“They must understand that he has other objectives other than the fight against crime. This is the first thing they should understand,” Pritzker told Ed O’Keefe de CBS.

Pirro calls DC laws by leaving the “young punks” away from violent crimes
Washington, the mayor of DC Muriel Bowser, who had initially rejected the deployment, has since recognized the improvements made to his city since the arrival of the National Guard.
At the end of August, Bowser said that the city had seen an 87% drop in carjacking over a period of 20 days compared to the same period last year.

“We know that when carjacks decrease, when the use of firearms breaks down, when homicide or flights decrease, the neighborhoods feel more safe and are safer. So, this wave was important for us for this reason,” she said at a press conference.
Pirro argued that Democratic leaders are resisting federal help and involvement simply because it comes from the White House.
“The truth is that these people concern ideology and power,” she said.
