Jane Seymour explains how the new holiday series reflects her own journey of love

Jane Seymour shared that her latest Hallmark project reflects her own experience finding love.
The actress plays in Twelve meetings until Christmas based on the 2020 novel by Jenni Bayliss as a widow who unexpectedly finds romance with Mac, a divorcee.
Speaking to People Magazine, Jane shared that the character’s journey echoed her personal life.
She said: “I felt that way when I read this. I was like, ‘Okay, I know who Evelyn is.’ This dynamic in which two elderly people find themselves is largely my story. »
Adding, “And the nervousness of… what is that? How do you deal with that? What do you do at this time in your life? That’s something I know.”
Jane Seymour was married four times before before meeting John Zambetti in 2023 after their sons introduced them. “I think the Hallmark audience, many of whom are my age, and they’re experiencing this vicariously,” she noted, adding, “They’re saying, ‘Oh my God, this could actually happen.'”
She added: “They know that in real life this has happened to me, and then they’re even more interested. ‘Oh, I wonder what that would be like.'”
“I can relate to it differently. I’ve never lost someone who died because of me, but my partner, his wife, died, so I can relate to that because I know what I see him going through,” noted Jane Seymour about her character being a widow.
Episodes of Twelve meetings until Christmas premieres Friday on Hallmark.
