Borussia Dortmund are reportedly ready to bring Jadon Sancho back to the club for a third term if he leaves Manchester United on a free transfer next summer.
The 25-year-old winger has endured a nightmare time at Man Utd, proving one of their worst failures in recent times given the amount they paid for him and the hype and excitement that surrounded his arrival.
Sancho is currently on loan at Aston Villa and is struggling to play regularly there, having also been on loan to Chelsea last season in a rather disappointing spell.
However, previously Sancho looked like an elite talent when he was young at Dortmund, and he did well there during a second loan spell.
According to Football Insider, the Bundesliga giants are now keen to sign him again, but only if he becomes a free agent.

It appears Sancho’s time at United is coming to an end, with the former England international set to be out of contract at the end of this season.
The Red Devils have the option to extend his contract for another year, but a recent report from talkSPORT has claimed that they are leaning towards simply letting his current contract expire in the summer of 2026.
Dortmund may want to re-sign Sancho if he is available without having to pay a transfer fee, which they perhaps rightly view as too risky a gamble.
Sancho may have shone with BVB in the past, but his recent form has been so disappointing that it’s no surprise they aren’t prepared to pay a fee for him.
MUFC fans will no doubt be hoping that Sancho can move on as quickly as possible, as there doesn’t seem to be any point in keeping him on their books for another year as it has proven so difficult to move him and get his high salary off their wage bill.
