Jacob Elordi ‘Frankenstein’ obtains a 13 -minute standing ovation at the Film Festival

Jacob Elordi had an emotional evening at the Venice International Film Festival in 2025 as the last project, Frankensteinmade its world premiere.

The 28 -year -old actor has made tears in his eyes when the public gave the film a standing ovation of 13 minutes, the longest of the festival this year so far.

A video captured by Variety has shown that Elord kissing the director Guillermo del Toro and the Mia Co-Star before losing in the head towards the crowd at gratitude.

The film also presents Christoph Waltz, Oscar Isaac, Felix Kammerer and Lars Mikkelsen, with Isaac playing the role of Victor Frankenstein and Elordi representing the creature.

Based on the emblematic novel of Mary Shelley of 1818, The Adaptation tells the story of a scientist who gives life to a being in a daring experience, only to deal with devastating consequences for the Creator and Creation.

During a press conference earlier during the day, Elordi explained how deeply he was linked to his role.

“It was a ship in which I could put every part of me,” he said.

“From the moment I was born from being here with you today, all of this is in this character. And in many ways, the creature that is on the screen in this film is the purest kind of form of myself.”

The actor revealed that the transformation was not easy, sharing with Variety that he spent up to 10 am on the makeup chair every day.

He described how the physicity of the creature has evolved with his experiences.

“When he was born, he carries almost nothing. His chest is open and his head is high. Then, while he begins to feel pain, as we do in adolescence, he begins to lean his shoulders. And as an adult, he closes.”

Elordi, known for recent performance in Prison,, Salinburn And Oh, Canadamade a striking appearance on the red carpet of Venice for the first.

Dressed in a pointed black suit with a bow tie and matching shoes, he turned his head during the highly anticipated event.

The exit also marked its first public appearance since reports update earlier this month that it had ended its walk and deactivation relationship with Olivia Jade Giannulli after four years.

Frankenstein Open in theaters on October 17 before going to Netflix on November 7, after its famous beginnings in Venice.
