Jackie Chan’s final message amid death rumors ‘Longtime no see’

Jackie Chan looks happy and in good spirits in his last social media post before the recent death hoax.

The latest controversy began on Monday November 10, when images of The Karate Kid The star lying in a hospital bed began circulating online, causing confusion and concern among fans.

Some posts falsely claimed confirmation from his wife and daughter, alleging that “Jackie Chan, 71, died after a battle with complications from decades of on-set injuries.”

Fans, hungry for clarity, turned to the Rush hour on the actor’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts, only to discover that his last message was four weeks ago.

On October 11, the Hong Kong martial artist and actor shared a carousel of photos from the NBA China Games in Macau, featuring Shaquille O’Neal, David Beckham and Yao Ming.

Footage taken at the Venetian Arena on October 10 showed the striking and hilarious height differences between the four legends.

The series of adorable photos was accompanied by a playful caption. “Ha ha! Long time no see! [smiley face] Haha, long time no see!” Chan wrote in Chinese and English.

Based on videos from last month’s event, the 2016 Oscar winner seemed very active as he energetically hugged Beckham and Shaq and waved to the camera while smiling brightly.

Is Jackie Chan alive or dead?

Unlike the AI-generated photos, Chan, 71, is alive and well. Verified fan accounts have since debunked the false information, reassuring admirers that the actor is fine.

It is pertinent to note that this is not the first time that the legendary actor, famous for his own stunts, has fallen victim to such unverified rumors.

In 2015, he faced similar allegations and reacted by saying: “I was shocked by two news reports when I got off the plane. »

“First of all, don’t worry! I’m still alive. Second, don’t believe the scam on Weibo using my name about Red Pockets,” Chan himself clarified things at that time.
