NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) on Thursday announced that it will refund full ticket prices to fans after the fourth T20 International between India and South Africa was canceled due to fog. Supposed to start at 7 p.m., the e-wicket was canceled at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday after six inspections due to poor visibility caused by a thick layer of smog at Ekana Stadium.
“Spectators who booked their tickets online will receive a refund of the ticket amount via their original payment method,” said Prem Manohar Gupta, secretary, UPCA, in a statement.“Notifications related to refund will be sent to registered email addresses. Ticket holders are advised to monitor their emails regularly for further updates. »For those who purchased tickets offline, refunds can be collected at the ticket counter located at Gate No. 2 of the Ekana International Cricket Stadium on December 20, 21 and 22, between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.“Offline ticket holders must be present in person and must: Carry their original physical tickets along with a copy of government ID for verification,” the statement added.“Customers will submit all of the above along with their bank details. Complete the refund form provided at the counter with relevant and accurate details. Submit the original tickets along with the filled form for verification.“On successful verification, refunds will be processed directly to the respective bank accounts as per the details provided in the refund form.
