‘It: Welcome to Derry’ Release Schedule: When to Watch the Season Finale

The first season of This: Welcome to Derry is coming to an end. The initial run of Stephen King’s spinoff series successfully brought Pennywise the Dancing Clown, the iconic villain he originally brought to life in his iconic novel nearly four decades ago, to television. Now the finale episode is upon us.
Multiple adaptations of King’s novel have allowed his famous clown to frighten audiences. However, It: Welcome to Derry is the first iteration to be presented in an episodic format. It’s also the first that takes the story back to the past, showing how the troubled town of Derry, Maine faces this curse of fear and violence in 1962.
According to King lore, Pennywise returns to wreak havoc every 27 years. If the series follows the three-season plan established by co-creator Andy Muschietti, seasons 2 and 3 will go further back in time, to 1935 and even 1908.
Muschietti co-created the horror series starring Jason Fuchs and his sister Barbara Muschietti – the siblings brought 2017’s It to the big screen, as well as the sequel that followed two years later.
