Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets Congress leaders

Washington – Congress leaders meet this week Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu After some legislators accused the Israeli leader of trying to hang the United States in another war.

Netanyahu’s meeting with a bipartite group of more than a dozen senators was delayed until Wednesday. The head of the majority of the Senate, John Thune, a republican of the southern Dakota, and the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, Democrat of New York, both attended the meeting.

“There are peace opportunities that we intend to achieve,” added Netanyahu. “We work together on this subject. We must still finish work in Gaza, free all our hostages, eliminate and destroy the military and governance capacities of Hamas because Gaza must have a different future for ours, for everyone.”

Netanyahu said coordination between the United States and Trump was “unrivaled”.

The President and the Prime Minister met again on Tuesday afternoon. Trump said in advance that he expected to speak with the Israeli chief of “mainly Gaza”.
