Is Virat Kohli’s attitude wrong? Former India teammate makes bold, ‘arrogant’ claim

Rahane conveyed Kohli’s passion and intent in every match, while also making a surprising statement about Virat’s pre-match mentality.
Out-of-favour India cricket team star Ajinkya Rahane has spilt the beans on Virat Kohli’s attitude and has claimed that people often mistake him for being arrogant. The former Indian captain, who recently surpassed 28,000 runs in international cricket, is currently active only in the ODI format and was recently seen in action in the IND vs NZ 1st ODI in Vadodara. Rahane heaped on Kohli’s passion and intent in each game, while also making a startling claim on Virat’s pre-match mentality.
Is Virat Kohli arrogant?
Speaking to Cricbuzz, Rahane revealed that the public often mistakes Kohli’s learning and never give up attitude for arrogance. The former Indian Test skipper revealed that he had observed Virat closely and lavished high praise on how the run-machine went about his batting.
“However much we talk about Virat Kohli is never enough. But I have seen him very closely, how he goes about his batting. We talk about his passion and his intent each and every time. But I feel what stands out is his attitude – the attitude of learning, the attitude of never giving up. People outside think Virat is arrogant, but he is not. He gets into the zone,” Rahane said.
Shedding light on Kohli’s mentality before any match, Rahane claimed that the star would simply stop talking to his teammates and that he followed the policy in order to get in the zone. He admitted that while initially he had failed to understand why Virat was doing so, he eventually realized that the method was bearing fruits for the star.
“I saw him two days before the game. He’ll hardly talk to people, even to his teammates. That’s what actually gets him into the zone. He’ll always wear his AirPods or try and listen to whatever he wants to and what he likes to get into the zone,” Rahane added.
