Olivia Wilde adds another feather in her cap at the Taormina Film Festival

Olivia Wilde has recently been announced as recipient of the Taormina Film Creativity Prize during the 71st edition of the event
The actor, producer and director will be honored for his phenomenal contribution to the entertainment industry during the prestigious event, which will take place from June 10 to 14 in the Sicilian city of the Hilltop.
In a press release, Tiziana Rocca, artistic director of Taormina, said: “We are honored to welcome Olivia to the 71st edition of the Taormina Film Festival.”
“Olivia represents a brilliant example of female creative power, combining elegance, intelligence and determination.
For UNIVERSED, Olivia began her career as assistant casting director and then participated in successful series, notably OC and House.
The actress made her debut with Booksmart of 2019, then she directed the 2022 don worried Darling.
It is relevant to mention that Olivia has an actor project in the pipeline entitled I Want Your Sex which is carried out by Gregg Araki and its other stars include Cooper Hoffman and Popstar Charli XCX.
However, as a director, Olivia will direct the comedy The invites, from a script by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack. She will also play alongside Seth Rogen, Edward Norton and Penélope Cruz.
Another project that she will lead entitled Avengelyne, an adaptation of features of the comic strip character from the 1990s for Warner Bros, and the Christmas comedy of Universal Naughty, which will both be produced by Margot Robbie and Tom Ackinley by Tom Ackinley.
In addition to Olivia, other star lists of participants and winners in Taormina are Martin Scorsese, Michael Douglas, Catherine Deneuve and Helen Hunt.
Meanwhile, the international jury will be led by the winner of an Oscar, Da’vine Joy Randolph, with the support of the panel of British actor Rupert Everett, the costume designer Sandy Powell and others.
