The Minister of Oil made the first official visit to PPL

Karachi: The Minister of Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik accompanied by the additional secretary (policy) of the oil division, Zafar Abbas, went on Thursday to the headquarters of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) in Karachi.
This marked the minister’s first official visit to PPL since his position assaulter, according to a statement published by the company.
The Minister has received a complete briefing on PPL inheritance, basic operations and the main achievements in exploration and production in the past three years. Management has described the success of the company by considerably increasing its production in natural gas, crude oil and mining operations.
The MD also gave an overview of the prospective strategies of the PPL aimed at leading to sustained growth and a strengthening of national energy security. He also underlined the operational and strategic challenges currently confronted with the company and asked for continuous support from the ministry to resolve them effectively.
The Minister expressed his appreciation for PPL’s ​​performance and the efforts of his management in strengthening the country’s energy sector. He also offered ideas and advice on navigation on future challenges and reaffirmed the total support of the ministry to business initiatives.
