Ice Cube drops bombshell about his appearance in the Anaconda remake

Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson Sr., recently got candid and admitted he “jumped” at the chance to appear in the Anaconda remake.
For those who don’t know, the 56-year-old American rapper, songwriter, actor and producer played the role of Danny Rich in the original 1997 horror action film.
It also featured Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Jon Voight, Danny Trejo and other notable artists.
On Saturday, December 13, Cube attended the Los Angeles premiere of a new comedy version of the Anaconda franchise 28 years after the original film.
Reflecting on his unexpected appearance in the upcoming film, he admitted, “It’s cool to make an appearance, to come full circle in a way.”
“When they asked me to do it, when I knew what kind of movie they were making, I jumped on it, I was like, ‘This is something different. This is cool,'” he said. Straight out of Compton star revealed.
“People probably like that I appear on screen,” Cube noted.
According to the synopsis, the upcoming Anaconda film stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black as longtime friends who have “always dreamed of remaking their favorite film of all time: the cinematic ‘classic’ Anaconda.”
It is pertinent to mention that the new Anaconda is scheduled to be released on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
