Courtney Stodden announced that she had left alcohol to focus on her sobriety and mental health.

This occurs after Courtney Stodden has thought about her abusive marriage at 16 with Doug Hutchison, declaring that she will no longer remain silent and hopes to authorize her other survivors throughout her trip.

Courtney Stodden embraces sobriety at 30: “Alcohol has turned into a trap”
Stodden officially stopped drinking after celebrating her 30th anniversary, a decision which, according to her, left her a “very happy” feeling while she embraces a new chapter focused on sobriety and well-being.
Speaking to Daily mailThe model and actress, who has just won a biopic for life, said that moving away from alcohol has also helped stabilize her mental health.
“Abandon alcohol also helps my mental health. I feel better without it,” she revealed, adding that she was leaning on alcohol to deal with renown and personal struggles.
“Alcohol has been my escape for years, but it turned into a trap,” said Stodden. “I used it to survive the trauma, but it ended up making me feel more lost and ashamed. This break is not only with a substance – it is with a version of myself, I am ready to leave.”

She admitted that what once seemed harmless entered the spiral in unhealthy patterns: “At one point, the downside ceased to be cute. I used alcohol to face pain, but everything he did was to make things more disorderly – and make me stronger in all bad manners. I finally cut the links. Alcohol and I? Total toxic.”

The model has publicly broken with alcohol: “ It was a toxic relationship ”
Stodden announced on Tuesday her new sobriety on Instagram when she wrote: “Alcohol, I have broken with you. It has been a toxic relationship for years. Something that I used to face, escape, to survive. But it hurt me more than it ever helped me – as opposed and private.”
“Last night was the last time,” she said. “I finished letting him control me. I have finished feeling sick and ashamed. I want to be fully present in my life. I want to face my past, my trauma and my current reality with clear eyes and a real force. To those who understand this battle, thank you.”
Stodden added: “Please respect my space while I travel this new path. It is not easy, but it is necessary.”
Although she fought to find out if it was necessary to make this announcement, Stodden said that it just seemed to share this deeply personal step.

Stodden’s sobriety announces after thinking about his controversial past as a teenage married while marking what would have been her 14th wedding anniversary.
Speaking to Daily mailThe star of “couples therapy” admitted having married a time to kill “Doug Hutchison at 16 was a huge error, the one she refuses sugar.
Hutchison was 51 years old when they got married in a chapel in Las Vegas in 2011.
“It stays with me, the pain, I will not remain silent,” said Stodden, calling Hutchison “emotionally abusive”.
The model then said: “My voice is my power, and for each voice in silence, I will cry louder. And I will not ask permission to do what is good. No more. I speak for this little girl inside.”

Courtney Stodden lives life to her “own conditions now”
Stodden also stressed that she intended to live life in her “terms” and wants to be an inspiration for others who have had experience similar to her.
“I live life in my own words now,” she said. “Everything that happened in my life, I have manipulated. I am strong, resilient. I come back to myself. I will never let anyone be silent again.”
Stodden also hopes that its story empowering others: “I want past victims and survivors to really exploit this part of themselves. We are so strong.”
