“I just managed it”

Emma Raducanu has provided an honest update on her injury status in front of Wimbledon. The Briton had trouble with recurring spasms and was recently treated an early outing at the Bad Homburg Open.
Raducanu began her herbs season on an impressive note at the Queen’s Club championships, where she reached the quarter -finals before going to the first head of Zheng Qinwen. However, immediately after that, the 22 -year -old was forced to open the opening of Berlin when she was fighting to manage her back injury.
Emma Raducanu returned to the action at Bad Homburg Open, where she beat Ann Li’s Ann Li in an exciting battle in her first round, before undergoing a defeat against the young Australian Maya Joint. After the match, the former US Open champion talked about her current injury difficulties, saying to the media at a press conference after the match,
“I just managed it. Normal fatigue after playing a long game, but, yes, I hope I can recover. I still have a few days before Wimbledon, so I can’t wait to recover, and I hope it settles down. I would say it bothers me. You know, a fairly decent tennis in the situation.
Against Joint, Raducanu took the opening set with ease, but obviously fought in the second half of the match. During the final set, the Briton was down 5-2 before staging an incredible return to force an equality break, before finally losing 6-4, 1-6, 6 (4) -7.

With The Bad Homburg Open made and sprinkled, Emma Raducanu will now focus on the next Wimbledon championships.
While she is preparing for the adult, the young man has shared her plans for the coming days, telling the media that her defeat in Germany could be a “disguised blessing”.
“I’m going to rest tomorrow. Take it day after day. Put a practice. I think it could be a disguised blessing, resting now.
Emma Raducanu contributed to Wimbledon twice before, in 2021 and 2024. The Briton made an appearance of the fourth round in the Tournament Les Deux.
